Peters Creek, its many tributaries, ponds, wetlands and wooded slopes are wonderful natural amenities. They provide utility to the watersheds communities in numerous ways. To ensure that they are not significantly degraded in the future requires vigilance, stewardship and a plan. In 2008 PCWA collaborated with the Allegheny Land Trust and Chatham University's Department of Landscape Architecture to develop a Land Conservation Plan for the Peters Creek Watershed. This Greenprint identifies and prioritizes natural infrastructure within the Peters Creek Watershed contributing to stormwater management, scenic character and preservation of biodiversity.
